30th Street Extension Grand Opening

Boise — Drivers should find it easier to get to the Treasure Valley’s new whitewater park. The park opened up this summer, but the new Whitewater Park Boulevard, located just west of Downtown Boise, opened to traffic for the first time Thursday morning. The Ada County Highway District and Boise officials gathered to dedicate the new roadway that has been more than four decades in the making. Construction started in January on this $4.5 million project. Whitewater Park Boulevard is five lanes and runs along the Boise River and links Fairview Avenue to State Street, but using part of 30th and 31st streets and Rose street.
